Impact of the Southwest Monsoon from Typhoons, July Rainfall Sets New Record

On August 5, 2025, the Central Weather Bureau released data showing that in July of this year, due to the influence of typhoons, low-pressure systems, and the southwest monsoon, the average accumulated rainfall at plains stations across Taiwan reached 767.0 millimeters, setting the highest record for the same period since 1951, while also recording the least sunshine hours for the same period.
