Feilding High School's Dominance in Central North Island First XV Championship

Feilding High School has emerged as the only unbeaten team in the Central North Island First XV Championship after securing a significant 45-26 victory over Lindisfarne College. The game marked a debut trip over the new Te Ahu a Turanga expressway, which connected Manawatū and Hawke’s Bay, and the team arrived fresh and focused. Feilding made a sharp start, scoring within the first five minutes and leading 19-0 by halftime. The final score reflected the team's dominance with tries scored by Kailan Elmers, Peni Havea, James Tuituba, Nixon Foreman, Van Campbell, Kingston Ngata, and Elisala Malili-Malo-Lauano, with Foreman converting five of them. Lindisfarne managed to briefly level the score, but Feilding's strong performance ensured their victory. Elsewhere, Wesley College secured their second win of the season with a 24-19 victory over Whanganui Collegiate. St Paul’s also had a successful match, defeating Francis Douglas Memorial College 39-12 with the return of their skipper and hooker Jackson Hill Brown. St John’s Hamilton continued their strong form with a 52-0 win over St John’s Hastings. The current standings in the North Island points table are as follows: Lindisfarne 25, St Peter’s 24, Feilding 22, St Paul’s 15, Wesley 13, Whanganui 12, St John’s Hamilton 11, Francis Douglas 6, and St John’s Hastings 0.
