The recent 2025 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards and the HI-SO Rooftop Caviar Celebration at SO/ Auckland hotel highlighted the vibrant cultural and media landscape in New Zealand. These events not only showcased the talents of local media personalities but also celebrated the finest in culinary arts, drawing in a diverse and elite audience. The awards, held at SkyCity Theatre, were a night to remember with over 700 guests in attendance, including notable figures from the media, broadcasting, and entertainment sectors. Mike Hosking, a familiar face and voice for many New Zealanders, was a standout, winning his 11th award for best talk presenter breakfast/drive, a testament to his enduring popularity and influence in the industry. The event was followed by an after-party at Sweat Shop Brewed Kitchen, where attendees continued to network and celebrate the successes of the evening. The HI-SO Rooftop Caviar Celebration, on the other hand, was a tribute to New Zealand's alpine salmon caviar season. Held at the HI-SO Rooftop of SO/ Auckland, the event was a feast for the senses, with over 180 guests enjoying a meticulously curated menu that included fresh sashimi, yakitori, and salmon-centric canapes. The highlight of the evening was the introduction of a new pink gin infusion, a sneak preview of a product set to launch the following year. The event was not only a celebration of cuisine but also a showcase of New Zealand's luxury hospitality, with the HI-SO Rooftop's ambiance and service setting a high standard. These events underscore the importance of media and culinary arts in New Zealand's cultural identity, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts to celebrate excellence in their respective fields. As the country continues to grow and evolve, such events serve as a reminder of the talent and creativity that define New Zealand's media and hospitality sectors.
