Tara Wagner Sewage Scheme Stage One Complete

Residents to connect new system in June. On September 5, the Rovu Lake Management Committee announced via a statement that the Tara Wagner sewage project's first stage has been completed, with service expected to begin by the end of this month.

This project aims to improve water quality in Rovu Lake and reduce pollution from污水 into groundwater and the lake. Stage one includes pumping stations and pipe networks; further work will follow.

Rovu Lake Management Committee's Infrastructure and Assets Group组长Stewart Michael emphasized that the completion of this stage marks significant progress in the lake protection plan, with long-term benefits for the lake and its downstream areas.

Current work is focused on removing fencing around the construction area, which will be replaced by temporary traffic signs next week. Normal traffic should resume by early May.

Tara Wagner community members can anticipate connecting to the reticulated wastewater system by June.

Michael stressed that this project will provide long-term protection for Rovu Lake and its downstream areas, reducing pollution impacts from污水.

All work is currently progressing as planned, including pressure testing and pump station commissioning.
