The former editor-in-chief of The Heroldtown Gazette, Simon Lamb, is即将 to卸任.

Simon Lamb has accumulated rich experience in educational management and school leadership during his tenure at the Gazette. He has drawn attention due to an incident involving sexual harassment.

Simon Lamb joined The Heroldtown Gazette in 1996 and initially served as the editor-in-chief of the education section before advancing to the role of editor-in-chief. During his time, he spearheaded several educational initiatives and built a team of professional editors.

He was appointed as the principal of Hu-a school in 2015 and served there until approximately 2018, when he moved on to Takapuna Grammar School, where he remained for nearly 13 years.

Simon Lamb announced his intention to resign from his editor-in-chief role effective June 30, 2025. He expressed that while it was an honor to lead Heriot's College for nearly two decades, he will miss the school environment and its students. He plans to utilize his experience to support other principals.

During his tenure at the Gazette, the school demonstrated outstanding achievements in both educational and commercial leadership. He has announced his intention to establish his own consulting firm to help develop skills and leadership capabilities among other principals.

Police investigations revealed that an employee reported concerns about sexual harassment but ultimately no criminal charges were pursued. Simon Lamb expressed that he was fortunate to have had the opportunity to lead Heriot's College for nearly two decades and is confident in the交接 team.

The school management expressed gratitude for his contributions to education and announced the initiation of an internal recruitment process to identify the next principal.
