NZ Herald reported that a former farm worker who was involved in drug trafficking due to being recruited by a friend has sparked widespread attention in New Zealand. According to the latest updates, a移民 worker who admitted to assisting in drug transactions was denied permission to be released from custody.

Details of the case show that between 2019 and 2021, the defendant delivered three packages totaling 1.8 kilograms of drugs to an address she provided. Although she acknowledged her role in the transactions and claimed she received $5,000 plus a smaller amount as payment, the court found her involvement limited.

The judge stated that the defendant had only a basic understanding of drug trafficking and that her actions may have been influenced by her isolation in New Zealand. After considering these factors, the court deemed the sentence appropriate for deportation liability.
