A road has been blocked following a serious two-vehicle crash in Taupaki, West Auckland . Police have issued an update, saying emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 2:30 pm and found three people with serious injuries.
A police spokesperson stated that the crash occurred on Waitākere Road, and part of the road is currently closed. They emphasized that drivers should be cautious in the area and avoid passing if possible.
The spokesperson also mentioned that emergency services were able to assess and treat two patients at the scene: one in a serious condition and another in moderate condition who has been transported to North Shore Hospital.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson added that they received reports of the crash around 2:47 pm, with two ambulances and one rapid response unit dispatched to the scene. The service stated that both patients were treated on-site before being transferred to hospital.
