Family Launches Renewed Search for Missing Te Anihana Beau Pomana

A family is once again intensifying their efforts to locate Te Anihana Beau Pomana, a 25-year-old woman who was last seen leaving Auckland’s SkyCity Hotel on August 21, 2025, at 5:06 a.m. Surveillance footage captured her wearing a white jersey, white sneakers, and cream-coloured pants as she walked toward Victoria Park on Victoria Street West, passing the Seven Poke Asian eatery.

Prior to her disappearance, Te Anihana had withdrawn a large sum of cash from an ATM, but she left behind all of her other belongings, including her bank cards, in her hotel room. Her sister, Ebony Pomana, has traveled from Dunedin to Auckland to assist in restarting the search, stating that their primary goal is to bring Te Anihana home and that they will not stop until she is found.

Ebony has shared that her sister was small in stature and often wore teenage-sized clothing. She also revealed that Te Anihana had been struggling with mental health issues before vanishing. Police have confirmed that she spoke to a man outside SkyCity before leaving, but the man has not provided any useful information.

The family believes that Te Anihana did not use the cash she withdrew. They emphasize that she was described as a giving person, and there is no evidence that she used the money for purchases. In an effort to locate her, the family is urging local business owners and property managers in the inner city to check obscure areas such as basements, crawl spaces, and stairwells, and to allow access to unoccupied or abandoned buildings near SkyCity and Victoria Park.

They stress that there is no evidence that Te Anihana left the Central Business District (CBD) area. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is encouraged to contact police at 105 and use the reference number 250822/6281.

Te Anihana previously worked at the Office for Treaty Settlements in the Justice Ministry. The search continues with family members commuting between Dunedin and Auckland as needed. As of the report date, police have not identified any new leads.

This is a deeply emotional and urgent matter for the Pomana family, who are determined to find answers and bring their loved one home. Their message is clear: Te Anihana is not forgotten, and her family will not rest until she is found.
