Missing Woman from Dunedin Vanishes Without a Trace
Te Anihana Pomana, a 25-year-old woman from Dunedin, has been missing since she left all her belongings at the SkyCity Hotel in central Auckland on 21 August. Despite extensive efforts by both her family and local police, there has been no sign of her since the day she disappeared. Her last known location was on Victoria St West at 5:16 a.m. on 21 August, after she had left the hotel.
Pomana’s mother, Catherine Anderson, who traveled from Dunedin to assist in the search, has made a heartfelt appeal for her daughter’s safe return. The family has been tirelessly working with the police to uncover any clues about her whereabouts, but so far, no new developments have emerged.
According to the police, while many people have come forward with information, there have been no confirmed sightings of Pomana. A spokesperson for the police expressed grave concerns for her safety and urged anyone who may have seen her to contact emergency services immediately at 111.
In the days leading up to her disappearance, Pomana had been traveling between several locations in New Zealand. She had initially traveled from Dunedin to Christchurch with her father, arriving in Auckland on 2 August. In early August, she moved between multiple hostels, hotels, and bedsits. She was captured on CCTV boarding a bus on 20 August and was seen checking into the SkyCity Hotel on 18 August.
As the search for Pomana continues, the community has come together in support of her family, hoping for any information that could lead to her safe return. The police have reiterated that they are treating the case with the utmost urgency and are following all possible leads.
