The electronics manufacturing companies Quanta, Inventec, Foxconn, and the computer brand ASUS will hold their earnings conference calls next week. With the implementation of reciprocal tariffs by the United States, the outlook for the industry's performance in the second half of the year and strategies to cope with tariffs will be the focus of market attention and will be the highlight of next week's Taiwanese stock market.

Quanta and Inventec will hold their earnings conference calls on August 12, followed by ASUS and Foxconn's earnings conference calls on August 13 and 14, respectively. Quanta, Inventec, ASUS, and Foxconn will present their second-quarter operational results and future performance outlook during their earnings conference calls.

With the New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) strongly appreciating in the second quarter, Quanta, ASUS, and Foxconn have all taken hedging measures to mitigate the impact of the NTD's appreciation. The actual impact of exchange rate fluctuations on Quanta and others remains a concern for investors.

Quanta's July revenue has been gradually released. Quanta, Inventec, and ASUS saw their July revenues decline compared to June. However, Foxconn's July revenue increased both month-on-month and year-on-year due to growth in the sales of PC terminals, consumer smart products, and components and other products, reaching NTD 613.865 billion, a new record for the same period in history, showing relatively better performance.

As the reciprocal tariffs from the United States continue to be implemented, some customers have already pre-ordered inventory in anticipation of tariff changes. Whether this will affect the demand in the second half of the year is highly anticipated by the market. In addition, some manufacturers plan to increase the prices of their products in the United States, which will add variables to the consumer demand in the second half of the year.

Inventec previously expected that PC product shipments in the third quarter will see a slight quarterly increase, while non-PC product shipments will remain the same as the second quarter. However, the overall revenue trend will depend on exchange rate fluctuations.

Foxconn expects that the cloud network products will maintain a strong growth trend in the third quarter. The ICT products will see their operations gradually warm up as the second half of the year enters the peak season. Overall, the third-quarter performance is expected to show quarterly and annual growth.

Whether Inventec and Foxconn will adjust their performance outlook and Quanta and ASUS's outlook for the second half of the year are key points of market interest. In addition, the United States increasing tariffs on Indian goods to 50% and Apple increasing its investment in the United States are expected to influence the layout of contract manufacturers, which will also be a key focus for Foxconn's earnings conference call.
