Due to consecutive days of heavy rain, flash floods broke out in Yuzhong County, Gansu Province in the evening of the 7th. As of 6:30 PM on the 9th, the disaster has caused 15 deaths, 28 missing, 15 injured, and over 30,000 people affected. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping has made instructions regarding flood control and disaster relief in the area. The Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee has also allocated RMB 32 million (approximately NT$130 million) for flood control and disaster relief. The disaster is severe, with multiple infrastructures damaged, including roads, bridges, power and communication systems. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
