Macau's Department of Health received a report of an imported dengue case today (9th), marking the ninth imported dengue case in Macau this year. The patient is a 13-year-old boy from Macau who had previously traveled to South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan between July 18th and August 8th. After returning to Macau, he developed symptoms such as fever and a rash on his limbs. Testing by the Public Health Laboratory confirmed the result as positive, diagnosing him with dengue type 2. Currently, the patient's condition is stable, and no discomfort has been reported among those living with him. The Department of Health will send personnel to conduct preventive mosquito control around the patient's residence and main activity locations in Macau.
