One week after the rain is a critical period for dengue fever prevention. Today afternoon, the mayor of Kaohsiung, Chen Chi-mai, visited the market to inspect the epidemic prevention situation, reminding vendors to implement environmental management. The city's epidemic prevention team also used drones to inspect the market roof and found water accumulation in the eaves drainage channel. Chen Chi-mai emphasized that dengue fever is an environmental infectious disease, and avoiding the creation of breeding sources is key to epidemic prevention. He urged the public and vendors to actively remove standing water and implement the 'inspect, empty, clean, and brush' environmental management. At the same time, he required the epidemic prevention team to continue expanding the use of drones and other technological equipment to enhance epidemic prevention capabilities.
