The government announced that since September 23 of last year, the Hong Kong stock market will continue to operate under adverse weather conditions. Henry Tse, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, mentioned on social media that today (the 5th) is the first complete trading day in Hong Kong under adverse weather conditions. Hong Kong stock trading and settlement continue as usual, with a total turnover of HKD 229.4 billion for the day. He thanked all market participants for staying at their posts under adverse weather conditions and working together to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Hong Kong securities market.
