A severely overloaded private car is suspected to have lost control and crashed into the barrier, causing seven people on board to be seriously injured. Among them, four people died after being hospitalized, including Wu Li Ting, a 20-year-old member of the Macao football team. The Macao Police today (5th) stated that after rescue efforts, one female passenger has recovered and is out of danger, while the other two male passengers are still in critical condition and under observation. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. yesterday (4th), when a private car lost control on Amizade Avenue near the pond stand and crashed into the barrier. Five males and two females (aged 19 to 21) on board were seriously injured and were rushed to Kiang Wu Hospital and Peak Hospital for rescue. The female driver and two male passengers (both 20 years old) were confirmed dead; the other four people are still being rescued. However, according to reports by Macao media in the evening, one male passenger aged 19 was confirmed dead after unsuccessful rescue efforts. The accident resulted in four deaths and three injuries. It is understood that all the deceased and injured are Macao residents. At the scene, the front of the involved private car was severely deformed, and the fire department rescued the injured from the car; multiple metal barriers, signs, and steps on the roadside were also damaged, with some stone walls crushed and water pipes burst. It is understood that the involved private car started from the parking lot on Rui Xiang Brussels Street, passed through Sun Yat-sen Avenue, and entered Amizade Avenue via the overpass.
