The Observatory pointed out that with the monsoon vortex gradually moving north, the active southwest monsoon will affect the coastal areas of South China this weekend, bringing heavy downpours and strong winds with thunderstorms. Multiple computer models predict that from August 2nd to 5th, there will be heavier rainfall along the coast of Guangdong, with some areas even possibly experiencing torrential rain. The Observatory reminds citizens to pay attention to weather changes, especially from next Sunday to next Tuesday, when the rain can be quite heavy, and to be prepared for flooding and traffic disruptions. In addition, it is expected that the weather will gradually improve in the middle to later part of next week, with daytime temperatures rising to 33 degrees.
