After 14 years and with a total budget of NT$1.3 billion, the Taichung Ocean Park will officially open to the public on August 21, becoming a new highlight for coastal tourism in Taichung. The main feature of the Taichung Ocean Park is its fully open design, breaking away from the traditional enclosed viewing mode, allowing the public to get up close and personal with marine life. Mayor Lu Hsiu-yun and Speaker Chang Ching-chao inspected the park on the 4th, giving high praise to the 'first-of-its-kind indoor wetland experience zone' and 'first-of-its-kind open display' inside the park. The ticket prices for the Taichung Ocean Park are set at NT$500 for full-price tickets and NT$400 for concession tickets. Residents registered in Shuijhi or Qingshui can enjoy an 80% discount. Compared to Xpark and Pingtung Ocean Park, the ticket prices of the Taichung Ocean Park are moderate, and it is expected to attract a large number of tourists.
