Continuous heavy rains have severely damaged the mountainous areas of Pingtung, with the only road connecting the Dasha tribe in Sandimen Township, Pingtung Special Road 6, suffering severe damage. The roadbed has collapsed, and the flat road surface is broken into several sections, with a height difference of about 6 meters. Inhabitants can only walk to deliver supplies to the tribe. Pingtung Special Road 6 is the only external road connecting Dehwen Village in Sandimen Township to Dasha Village, measuring 5.64 kilometers in total. It often experiences rockfalls or landslides during rain. Due to the impact of the continuous heavy rains, Pingtung Special Road 6 has been severely damaged, with the roadbed collapsing, the flat road surface broken into several sections, exposed gravel, and a height difference of 6 meters. Currently, there are about 7 households in the Dasha tribe. The mountainous areas of Pingtung have finally cleared up today. To deliver supplies to the Dasha tribe, the Sandimen Township Office, Dasha Village Chief Hou Wuxiong, and tribal youth carried various foods, bread, and instant noodles on their backs and climbed the collapsed roadbed on foot. Due to the height difference, they sometimes had to pull ropes to move forward cautiously. Sandimen Township Mayor Tseng Yuchin stated in an interview with the media that the indigenous people living in the mountains currently have no difficulties in their lives, and communication is normal. He urged the indigenous people to be careful when moving around in the village.
