Vice President萧美琴 met with the permanent delegation of friendly nations' representatives at the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva on August 5, 2025, expressing gratitude for their long-term support of Taiwan's meaningful participation in international organizations. Vice President萧美琴 emphasized that Taiwan has been unfairly excluded from the United Nations system for many years, and it is thanks to the persistence of friendly nations in upholding the principles of justice, fairness, and inclusiveness, and their continued advocacy for Taiwan's international participation. The visiting delegation included representatives from Guatemala, Haiti, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs葛葆萱 during the visit to Vice President萧美琴.
