At 94.5 km of Provincial Highway 8 in Heping District, Taichung City, due to continuous rainfall, a large-scale slope collapse occurred, causing traffic to be interrupted. After receiving the report, the Guguan Highway Maintenance Section of the Highway Bureau immediately blocked the site and sent machinery to the site on the 5th for repairs. It is currently expected that traffic will resume at 5 p.m. today. To cope with the traffic disruption, two additional trips have been added on the Zhongheng alternative route, facilitating the transportation of vegetables and fruits for residents and farmers in Lishan.
