Black rain hits again, the Hong Kong Observatory issued a black rain warning signal again at 5:50 AM today (5th), and it is expected to last until at least 11:00 AM this morning. The Observatory stated that heavy downpours are occurring in the Central and Western Districts and the Islands District, with hourly rainfall expected to exceed 100 millimeters, potentially causing severe flooding. Videos circulating on social media show widespread flooding in the western part of Hong Kong Island, with a large amount of rainwater flowing down Ladder Street, described by netizens as a 'rushing stream', and it is also mentioned that the Ladder Street overpass is flooded. In addition, a large amount of muddy water and flooding have been reported on Smithfield Road and Pokfulam Road; netizens have also captured footage of flooding on the vicinity of Gado Kin Street, Edward Youde Road, and Gah Man Hing Road, referring to it as a 'milk tea river'. Some roads within the Mary Hospital area have experienced severe flooding, affecting emergency room services.
