Black rain warning signal is currently in effect, the Observatory said the black rain will last at least until 11 a.m. This morning (5th), the Education Bureau announced that all daytime schools, including morning schools, full-time schools, and afternoon schools, will be closed today. Schools should implement emergency measures and arrange staff to care for students who may return to school, and only allow students to go home under safe conditions. The Education Bureau also said that if the Hong Kong Observatory changes to issue a yellow rain warning signal by 5 p.m. or cancels all rain warning signals, unless otherwise notified, night schools will resume classes as usual tonight.
