Fire and Emergency New Zealand’s northern shift manager, Josh Pennefather, stated that the service was notified at 3:18 PM and one fire truck was dispatched from the Matatā station. He added that there were no reports of anyone being trapped, and the fire department was assisting police and ambulance crews with one fire truck on site.
