Mother of Missing Auckland Man Tyler Porter Pleads for Public Help

A mother from Auckland is pleading with the public to continue searching for her 20-year-old son, Tyler Porter, who has been missing for over a week. Tyler was last seen on Wednesday, July 16, in the Arkles Bay area. His family and police have expressed serious concerns for his welfare.

According to his mother, Shara-Lee Porter, Tyler was last seen at 4:35 p.m. that day at the top of Ladies Mile Rd, crossing over into a walkway. She described him as tall, standing at six-foot-four, with brown hair and distinctive blue eyes. His last known clothing included black shorts, a white T-shirt, black DC shoes, and a black hat.

Shara-Lee said, “Please everyone don't stop searching, sharing our social media post and showing his photo.” She added that Tyler was a gentle and much-loved young man in the local community. “We just want to give him a big tight hug. Myself, his dad, little brother, grandparents, everyone just wants our baby home.”

The police have urged anyone who has seen Tyler or has any information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately. They can be reached by calling 111 and using the reference number 250719/0868.

As the days pass without any sign of Tyler, the community's concern continues to grow. Shara-Lee and her family are holding on to hope that their son will be found safe and soon. Local residents and friends have been sharing Tyler’s photo and details on social media in an effort to raise awareness and encourage the public to keep searching.

This is a community coming together in a time of need, and every effort to locate Tyler is being welcomed with open arms. The message is clear: do not stop looking, and do not stop sharing.
