Rabobank's Ag Pathways Programme: A Success in the South Island
11:04
Rabobank's Ag Pathways Programme has achieved significant success in the South Island by providing agricultural training and networking opportunities to young farmers. Launched in 2015, this program has been held annually for nine years across various locations in the South Island, with notable achievements in both Northland and Southland regions. Recent activities in the South Island have further expanded its reach, offering valuable skills and connections to over 70 farmers. Participants have highlighted improvements in communication, leadership, and business planning, as well as enhanced team dynamics. Despite economic challenges faced by Timaru due to declining beef cattle industries, Rabobank's support has empowered these farmers with career development opportunities and a renewed sense of purpose in the agricultural sector. The program not only equips young farmers with essential skills but also serves as a vital platform for their personal and professional growth, contributing to sustainable agricultural development.
